8a 7+?

I was reading the Daniel Woods article on the homepage of this site and I couldn’t figure out the rating scale he was using. Is this rating system something unique to woods?

“a 2 move 8A+ for the first crux followed by a mini 12d into a 7C+ lurp dyno move. both cruxes involve around one low percentage move each. the outro section is around 8a.”

Answer:

Hey Richard,

This grading scale is referring to the European rating scale.  It is very common around the world and is used for identification on 8a.nu as well.

Hope that helps.
