Belay Anchor Construction

At my gym they sometimes do not have anchor lines for my son to use to tie in when he belays me. What is the best material to make my own anchor line with.

Answer:

Michael, if you are referring to anchoring the belayer down you will want you use either some webbing/slings or a cordelette. I would talk with the staff at your gym and see how they would advise you their.

I will tell you though anytime I have had to do this outside because of a sharp drop off or bad fall possibility I have used the above.
