Blister on Finger

I always get a blister on my left middle finger, right on the inner top joint. Is there anyway to prevent this? Why is a blister forming there? If I want to continue climbing with this blister, is there anything I can do to protect it so it doesn't rip when I climb?

Answer

I would tape it while you are climbing and make sure to put something like climb on or jtree climbing salve on it when your not climbing.

I'm not sure why you keep getting it on that particular finger. It could have something to do with the types of routes your climbing or the skin could just be softer there.
