Bouldering at Horsetooth Resevoir

We cruised out for a late afternoon bouldering session at Horsetooth Resevoir yesterday and all I can
say is wow.

The views were incredible. Check the pictures below and I am sure you will agree with me.

A nice view from down the Resevoir

Another nice shot down the Resevoir

A beautiful sunset

Are those not some great views or what?

The bouldering at Horsetooth is fantastic, it is actually the birthplace of bouldering which is really cool.

In the early days John Gill developed most of the area and there are tons of Gill problems all over the place. These lines are a must.

Here is a rock climbing picture of me on a classic Gill problem.

and here is my friend Pete on the Ships Prow

There are many beautiful lines here and right now it is my favorite local Fort Collins bouldering area. The views and
the rock quality is just so good not to mention the grades are stiff. I am actually heading out today to go jump on a
beautiful 20 move or so traverse called Punk Rock Traverse a sandbagged V5.

I gave it 3 burns yesterday and fell right at the end so I'm going to give it a couple more today.

Also, I'll probably jump on The Standard another classic route with a sick top out. I feel off the topout last night in the
dark and bruised the hell out of my tail bone, but we'll see if I get back on it today.

I will keep you updated.

Ryan
