Show Me.

by Zach
(Tulsa, OK, USA)

Typically a 2 person game. Players pick an area and agree on a small set of holds in that area that must be used. One player will then offer what they think is the least of grips they can readily do it in. The second player makes a counter offer or claims "Show me."

Anybody challenged with a "Show me" must then perform the climb using the agreed maximum number of holds including the designated set (which may be only 1 or 2). If they succeed, the other play must match them or reduce the number of grips. Game continues till players cannot climb what they say they can, one person drops out, or the wall gets too tough for that few grips. Works on endurance and can be used to target grips that climbers avoid.
